Mine finally germinated and are now sat in their trays on decking outside. They are still skinny things but wondered if or when I start to feed them and with what? Or shall I just transplant into final places. What do you do?

Feeding spring onions

They look good, wish i'd sown mine in modules now, i guess you can just plant out each block and grow them in bunches. Mine are in one tray, so i'll have to prick them out individually or they'll be overcrowded. Think it's time to sow more anyway... do they stand well in the ground when they're mature? Otherwise you're going to have to eat spring onions every day for a few weeks...He-Pep!

Plant up into your troughs when they are big enough to be handled. Plant in blocks they will push each other out off the way with no problem. If your planting up into fresh compost they will be OK for 4-6 weeks then give them a high nitrogen feed.
I do mine in a similar way but use 3" pots as I find them easier to handle with my big hands.Potty by name Potty by nature.
