All the waste and veg peelings from the kitchen, over winter also any brassica stalks which take forever to rot down in the bin - then cover it all over in Spring.

I dont prepare the ground in any special way just feed the soil prior to planting and top dress during growth. I do however have the luxury of being able to water regularly
