Thank you! I was going to add the other thread to it but was in a bit of a rush when I wrote it. I started the new one because now the plants have grown a fair bit and can see a difference between the two, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me which is which ...

I grew it for the first time this year. I did have a slug issue (apparently they can tell it from fat hen easily!), and only a few plants reached maturity. Out of the survivors, some never got more than a few inches tall, but the one that did properly grow was fairly productive!

I'll try them again next year, and plant a lot more seedlings to get a proper harvest. I don't think they need a lot of space, they get tall, but not wide.

My Lottie neighbour grew Quinoa this year. successfully...easily no problems. Yes we thought she was growing weeds but fat hen just doesn't get that tall.
Her only comment was you really have to grow a shed load to get a kilo! So grow as a fun crop rather than to save you buying it at Sainsbury's!

Thank you for info we had brought hoping to save buying so noted on needing to plant LOTS, have just taken on an allotment along with garden patch to try and become more self sufficient....

Thank you for reply slugs were little or big monsters this year!!! Great that they may not require so much space...
