Looking slightly drier and warmer (but humid) in places over the next few days, but I somehow don't think it will last long. No sign of anything resembling a heatwave at the moment.

I've got sunburn on my heed - should wear a hat when I do plot inspections. (Not so) Gradually moving to a state that matches my nickname... dammit!
Anyway - it was too hot and sunny today in North Devon

It's neverending rain here, thankfully not quite warm enough to be blight weather. But I fear another year of unripened tomatoes and puny courgettes.

On the bright side, the summer PSB is enjoying the cooler temperature and the rain.

So, the BBC say there may be a ground frost in rural areas in the north tonight.

                      What?

Weatherman was very vague. Looked like borders and Scotland. I'm sure you'll be fine in the Midlands (fingers crossed).

We are forecast 7 here in Yorkshire tonight - pretty much on a par with the last few nights really. Its cool for July, but not threateningly cold. I think you might have more cause for concern if you live in Scotland or the north west.
