Friday weather forecast initially said thunderstorms Saturday afternoon then changed to none. Saturday weather forecast initially said thunderstorms Sunday afternoon, now saying it might get a bit cloudy. Guess what they're predicting for Monday...

Meanwhile it's been so mild (mid-teens) at night here I've risked leaving the pumpkins uncovered overnight (the courgettes have been uncovered for a week or so now).

Cloudy start but when I finished work at 12.30 the sun was beating down so I went straight up to the allotment to open doors and get my beans 'n' stuff out to harden up.

After a week solid of grey, chilly weather I cannot believe I even uttered those immortal words ''God, it's too hot!''

Will be back up later this evening to close up and off for next two days so LOTS of work to be done

It was 28 C here today! Would be a miracle if my plants make it alive through this week, I just keep running around with a watering can...

Well my climbing beans have recovered in the recent warm weather. I watered them regularly. However last night we had the first real rain for a while and everything has shot up.
Still nice and warm as well, overnight min on my ground sensor was 18.00 deg C.
            Fingers crossed !

We are having a thunder storm here in Leicester, just hope its raining the same at home so I don't have to water the plot tonight.

Lots of rain around in the next few days, although sometimes it could be a bit "hit and miss".

After a couple of weeks of next to no rain the barrels were empty at the plot.
At 4pm it started raining - probably the most intense I've seen it here in the last 7 years - I expect the barrels are already full.
I'd just been thinking about spending an hour on the plot so I'm a little disappointed that I can't go now - but we did need the water. Might just have to have a 'tincture' instead.

It absolutely hammered down here 2 hours ago - I have not seen rain that heavy for years. Thunder and lightening included.

The water butt is now full to over flowing and most of the plants are horizontal to their beds.

On the good side I won't have to water for 2 days.

Same here, first we got a week with what could class as a heat wave (for UK standards) and then torrential rain on a daily basis. I am feeling confused!

Same here. Weather is misty, drizzly and wet. Looks like staying the same all week.

Next week's looking good mind. Up to now.

Yesterday I did the Color Run in a hot and sunny Wembley and yet home (40 miles away) was so flooded the manhole covers had lifted off and the Police had closed some roads. Driving back into my street wasn't fun as the force of the water had lifted the manhole covers! It hammered down and we had a massive thunder storm. Then 2 hours later the sun came out again and it was as if nothing had happened.
