    • Seeing load sof loads of butterflies where i am. But that's when i take the dog out through the fields. Loads of Ringlets, Common Blues, Meadow Browns. Not seen many Large or Small Whites as of yet though.

As for the weather, it's quite warm today and is currently lashing down. Do the garden good as it hasn't rained for a week or so.

we have the rain but not the butterflies , one cabbage white this year and it turned up the day after I pulled the "blown" caulies, so his timing wasn't great....

                      • The only possitive I can think is up to now ( in Cheshire) I have had no blight on either spuds or toms. This horrible humid weather does bring the aphids on something rotten.

                        • I think I have officially given up on my things growing/ripening successfully this year. I live in an area which seems to be a 'pocket' and has it's own micro climate (i.e dull and wet). Apart from a week in May and a couple of hours early morning here and there, I haven't seen sun in yonks. Ironically, the next town 10 miles up the road gets more sun than we do.

I'm off to take my Vitamin D and read up on hydroponics and grow lights!
