OH has just started to fill the stumpery bed. He has put a layer of fresh horse manure in an topped with soil. There's about 8 inches of soil over the manure. I will be leaving this bed as it is till next spring. I was wondering though if I could plant the rhubarb in it temporarily. It's currently in large pots buried in the garden. Will the fresh manure burn the roots. I will hope fully move it to it's permanent home in autumn.
