    Mesh being delivered next week, given my luck I would have loads if I didn't opt for the heaviest approach. I'd rather look foolish than lose my winter festival dinner. It's not like I won't use it after all.

      Well JJ, I dunno. My best guess is that they are some species of sawfly larvae, mainly because it's not a butterfly and it's not any moth that I'm familiar with. G00gle images for sawfly larvae shows quite a lot that are similar but I couldn't spot a green one that likes cabbage...
