Another courgette....making a total of 4

42 courgettes. Glad I'm counting as it doesn't seem that many! First cuc ready to pick but OH says no as we have a shop bought one to finish

Persuaded OH to big the first cuc! So now 42 courgettes & 1 cucumber!

4 Romanescue, 1 Black Forest and 1 Polo to take me up to 31.

Left a couple of tronde to fatten up for stuffing and my Shooting Star has so far turned out to be firing blanks - only 2 fruit both of which shrivelled up and died.

Winter squash are doing well.

The trombones are climbing but not fruiting - 5 plants and not a single courgette.

The yellow patipan are pathetic little runs hardly growing at all

Now 44 courgettes. Still 3 cucumbers. A couple ready to pick but have promised eldest child we will pick together tomorrow. As they only started liking cucumber today (& ate almost a whole one, sharing a small amount with youngest child) I readily agreed to the request!

I'm now almost at the stage where people will avoid me as they know a bucketful of courgettes will be forthcoming.

Still 44 courgettes, but the 2 cucumbers I was expecting turned into 6 - they hide under those big leaves! Children used toy wheelbarrow to bring them in. So 9 cucumbers now - have officially recouped cost of seed & feed & compost was home made so quids in from now on!
