Courgettes are slowing down but several more cukes to pick and a couple of squashy things. Female butternut squashes should flower soon - and about time too

                + 4 courgettes = 52

                + 1 Table Dainty marrow that I'm counting as a squash = 2

                    • Ok 95 last count and today's haul is

                      That's
                      • 3 romanesco
                      • 1 Black forest
                      • 6 polo
                      • 3 Tondo di Piacenza
                      • 3 coucuzella
                      • 2 shooting star
                      • 2 yellow patipan
                      • 2 zucchini

So I'm up to 117 courgettes.

The yellow patipan have actually started to give me a crop. The trombones have fruit but I don't know when the best time to harvest them is.

                      I also harvested 15 cucamelons

                      • Seriously wish I'd seen this thread earlier! My courgette and sunburst squash seem to have slowed down recently but this looks fun so I'm gonna start now anyway...

                        Currently lurking in my kitchen:

                        5 marrows
                        8 sunburst squash
                        4 cucamelons

                        Eaten

                        1 melon
                        2 crown prince pumpkin
                        God knows how many courgette/sunburst

                        In storage

                        1 crown prince

Still 103 courgettes but a few still hanging on in there so fingers crossed. One plant gone, & another pretty much exclusively male flowers - you can tell it's getting cold at night now.

Cucumbers still happy in gh, 6 more today so 62 now

                          • I've completely failed on this front. My eight cucumber plants succumbed to aphids, after I harvested two round ones, that bore a striking resemblance to limes. I also had eight courgette plants, which all flowered marvellously, but I haven't had a single fruit.

I still have high hopes for a Santa Claus melon which is currently about six inches long and looking very strong.

I love courgettes, so I'm very jealous of everyone else's. And I've had to buy cucumber to go in my G&T! Bah!

I have a lovely lemon and courgette cake recipe! Courgettes are just the best vegetable, ever.

Hmmm... I wonder how my beetroot are doing. Have you tried the beetroot chocolate cake?
