The flowers i was trying for were bluebells in June needless to say it didnt go so well!
We grew gypsophila and sweet williams (sp?!) And raided the local embankments the day before for those giant daisys to put in jars
Wedding flowers were all dried homegrown lavender with wheat and things lol
It was an out door reception in a couple of open victorian barns down the road from the allotment so we had a hog roast and made a vege stew with all the save crops from the lottue and fresh turnips!
Local brewery sorted us out with a keg of lager, we made our own wine and sloe gin
We had 50 people camped out from kids to grandparents , a friend came along with falcons for people to fly, camp fires music and beer
It was 2 years ago next week!!! Had a fab day and we went camping on the Llyn Peninsula for 2 weeks... were i went off alcohol and felt a bit weird... did a test with serious doubt (we had been trying for 5 years and given up for 2) and it was positive... went for a scan and was 4.5 months pregnant!
Needless to say we preped the allotment for winter with baby due at Christmas so it worked out perfect by the summer he was sitting in the allotment while we were doing our thing!
This year he is walking around with his own little spade... helping... all the oldies love him which is great and they constantly feed him strawberries so he loves it there!!!!!
I have way more time on my hands for the allotment as i now work from home part time making wooden crochet hooks and knitting needles...
Well that is my life for the past 2 years... i have no idea what happened!!!
