Finally got everything growing really good but due to me fainting almost every time I stand up I'm no longer allowed to leave the sofa. which means my oh is looking after my garden..not good he's total novice..made him bring my four trays of seeds inside and to say they are waterlogged is understatement although the peas are sprouting OK but no lettuce seeds and flowers are no where to be seen. Hate to imagine state my tomatoes are in.i know my strawberry runners need potting..any suggestions on what I can do.trying to explain what needs doing and how to do it is getting nowhere. He says I can do it when I'm better which could be week...help!!!

I think the title may get tweeked a little when the Mod's see it That aside ......
If your tomatoes are in pots then safest bet is to tell OH to put the pot onto a part filled bucket so that it is watered from the bottom, strawberry runners maybe put a pot of damp compost beside the plant & lay the runner on to root & cut it off yourself when you feel well enough.
Wishing you a speedy recovery but don't push yourself too earlyHe who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame

Hope you are better soon.
In the mean time is there no where you can either sit at a table and potter or just sit and bark orders. Failing that accept it for what it is - your health is more important than your plants (I know, I wouldn't like the later if it were the other way round but it is the truth of it)

I agree with NG your health more important. You will be able to recover the garden if needs be when you are better. What you cannot mend you redo. I slowly been doing my garden and was late in growing this year due to back op. But now the garden is accurately looking good dispite the rain, slugs, leaf miners, flea beetles,.... Sorry getting carried away!
Get well so.

What's the weather like at yours?
I think I'd be recuperating in a sun lounger and 'supervising'

.
Well think I've explained best I can ..I usually bury small pots to put runners in but oh put runners straight back in same pot there growing from but least there planted. Can you over water tomatoes? Trying to exp!Ain how to get the suckers off but he's not understanding so told him to leave it in case be pulls wrong bits off
On a positive note :if I can't get to the garden bring the garden to me I now have my seed trays next to me in the lounge windowsill:-):-):-)
Thanks for all the well wishes.scared family half to death when fainted halfway downstairs.ambulance treated me for broken neck but luckily it wasn't . No wonder he wont let me off sofa lol

Well your health is worth more than a few tomatoes.
You could always strap a camera to his head and guide him by walkie talkie.

^^^^^^Now that idea I really .........like Jay.
Like the others have said Cazz your health is far more important than the garden at this time, you can recover the garden when you are well but if you don't get well........................
