  • Hungarian Black Wax Question

Evening all. I must admit that I am a bit of a chilli nut I always grow the Jalapno traveller strain as well as lots of super hot chillies. This year I am growing Hungarian black wax as well. I have a quick question if anyone can advise. My plants have set loads of good size chillies
All lovely and black, the question is when can I pick them ? I was reading that they mature to a red colour is this correct or do you pick them when black.

    Many thanks

    Mark

      Hi Small Pumpking
Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, Bhut Jolokia Chocolate, Reaper and Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. They do take their time in growing I have got flowers on the reaper but nothing as yet on the others.

When they're red, they are dry and hotter, but I like to eat them black stuffed with cream cheese

Ms T, I'm hoping to save seeds for our chilli circle from my Hungarian blacks but they are on a go slow (NG if you are reading this, my plants are tiny!) The chillies are black to start and ripen to red.
