  • Charlotte Potatoes - little white spots

As a test I have just dug up one of my 1st early potatoes Charlotte. There were loads (am amazed usually useless growing potatoes) but they all have little white spots. Never seen anything like this before. The potatoes look good apart from that. Does anyone know what this is and are they safe to eat. I suspect it is a fungus or something due to wet weather, Anyone any ideas?
    Slowly takes it!

Probably swollen lenticels because of the wet weather, they're ok to eat, but probably won't store as well.

That's interesting, Thelma. I had lenticels after a lot of rain, but they seemed to disappear when the ground got drier. Maybe I just wasn't looking closely enough.
