Tear up some newspaper.
Loosely wrap each spud and place in a biscuit tin. When the tin is full, bury it in the back garden.
Keeps 'em good till at least christmas.
An old farmer once told me to do that to have new potatoes for christmas dinner!
I did as he said and burried them at the allotment................they are still there 5 years later as when it was time to dig them up, I couldn't find them!
