      4. Its only July and I'm harvesting my toms,
      5. My Sweet Bananas are looking good - may have to stake the plants
      6. I have ickle habanaros forming - lots of them
      7. Sweet potato flowers are really pretty - like a two tone bindweed flower
      8. My raspberry plants not only survived but fruited (previously they just turned into dried sticks)
      9. My experimental square foot orchard is looking healthy- even has 3 apples on it
      10. My neglected blackcurrants have given me a couple of jars of jam (now I have them in the ground) and are romping away
      11. Strawberries and pineberries
      12. gooseberry hedge is taking shape

oh yes and the comfrey - romping away. The secret behind the tomatoes. And peppers.

And my peas - can't forget these - 6 foot and going strong

Got to mention the kiwi - all frost bitten as the start of the year it's grown 6 feet so far.

Garlic the size of cherry toms
Onions the size of cherry toms
Over wintered Shallots would win a prize as they are large onion sized
Courgettes far far too many over the past 6 weeks from 3 Parthenon plants
        Lots and lots of Sungold
Shirleys now ripening and are large
        No Gardeners delight yet!
        French beans going haywire
        Runners ready in another week
        Sutton Broad Beans very productive

Carrots better then expected, well they look nice and green.
Squash, Courgette, cucumber all doing well - bit surprised at that, still waiting.
Celery looks like it is happy.
Tomato's are fine, growing happily, may need to pinch out the tops soon, while I can still reach the tops.

Fennel not so sure, growing but think not going to get much from them.
Leeks not sure either, sort of expected a bit more from them at this time, but they can stay where they are.

Garlic, rocket, spring onion, turnip and swede waste of space.

Makes deciding what to try next year interesting as many of the simple and easy things never seem to work.

I didn't have a veg plot or gteenhouse at easter - I had horrible old trees, nettles & bindweed. Now I have a greenhouse & veg patch both being productive!
              Another happy Nutter...

Great thread Chippy - well done!

I have loads of toms ripening everywhere - so much earlier than last year, and the same for chillies. We've had LOADS of strawberries. The aubergines are starting to flower and the peas, corn, courgettes and cukes are finally starting to catch up.

And we'll soon be moving to a much bigger garden - so next year will be amazing!!
