  • Wilko garden sale

Still showing full prices online, but I popped into my store earlier for some paint, and they had a few roll cages full of garden bargains. 3.5kg garden lime for £1, 10l perlite for £1, big boxes of superphosphate, slow release fertiliser, blowaways and cloches for a few quid, string for 10p/25p, loads of gloves and odd tools. Worth a look in if you are near a wilkos.

I cleared my local one out of their mini polytunnels and propogator lids. At 50p per tunnel and 20p per lid I was laughing! Cloches and those retractable against the wall greenhouses were 2.50 each!

I went there yesterday but there was very little reduced - I bought some string, nothing else
          Maybe they'd sold everything?

Was the string so you could find your way back?

I think our Wilkos has become a little wiser and stocks start to dwindle around end of June so much to be had......i do fall in the trap of buying for the sake of buying even at my ripe old age

its only a bargain is 1. you need it 2. You'll use it seeing people buying plastic greenhouses that are pretty useless its not a bargain but items that are ready to be dumped into landfill. Everything I hate about consumerism.

Hmm, I disagree. I have plenty of uses for plastic greenhouses and similar items - one of the most useful things in the garden...

I like how you have made your own frames there Penellype! I was thinking to do the same, as my frame is coming apart.
