My neice is not impressed
It's now 2 weeks since we sowed some swede seeds and nothing is showing. I explained to her that it takes time etc we had to cut a few courgette leaves off so it will get some sunlight she is very adamant that will work.
We sowed some more swede seeds today but I think she is not that impressed ; (

Oh dear, Jack! Swede take ages. How about trying some turnip seeds which are much quicker. I sowed some recently and had little seedlings emerge in just two or three days.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Hmm, my swedes germinated in 2 days in the (unheated) propagator. Maybe the best thing would be to grow something quick in a pot indoors - lettuce or mizuna spring to mind. That way there is less chance of losing them to slugs or other beasties.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy
