I hadn't either Vix....it just sounds like it's a weird shaped 'mushroom' growing on the plant instead of something which is decaying!

When I found it, it looks like a giant exploded puffball, from what I've read you need to get the mushrooms when they are small, and young!
..if I find another one..you never know!?

Why not try and find a 'specialised ' restaurant near you which would buy/try it out with future produce???
