Saving cucumber seed

Some of my Crystal Lemon cucumbers are overripe so i'm thinking i may try and save their seeds
However, i did have a regular mini cucumber growing nearby so they could be cross pollinated. This may seem like a really dumb question, but if you don't mind what grows as long as it is is edible and it is a cucumber is there a problem with growing the seeds?
I still have some of the original seeds, so thought i would just give it a go

I don't see why you shouldn't try this. Crystal Lemon are not F1 so if they have pollinated themselves they should breed true. If they have crossed with the mini cucumbers you could get something interesting!

Is the mini cuke an F1 hybrid with only female flowers? If so it should be a pure Crystal Lemon?
