Surprise Pumpkin

I was at the allotment yesterday and was looking at my pumpkin plants with disappointment that none of them had produced anything worthwhile.

Whilst I was tidying up my runner beans I moved some foliage only to find a pumpkin the size of a football suspended 5 foot up in the air by the runner bean vines

This was about 2 metres away from the base of the plant

Some of mine have also wandered & taken over the runners / pea support

mine too have adopted the runner bean frame and have meandered their way over all of my other beds too ....! They just don't care.........

Took the words out me mouth SP,i would say any squash will climb up anything given the chance,in the past butternuts have found my debrie netting and walked over the top.
