Treating buxus blight... not the worst type I don't think. Need some help

Hi guys,

I've got blight, doesn't look the worst type as there is new growth coming though.

Any ideas on what I should use to treat the plant and the area surrounding it, the area is wooden.

You certain it's buxus blight ev's ? I thought that was specific to box, could be wrong though

The only thing is its on my trees at work, I've knackered my phone so I cant even get a pic. I'm sure its blight as all the leaves has died back on the stems a good 5 inches, the leaves has fallen to the center of the pots. There is new growth from the center for about 2 inches then nothing to the end of the branch.

I did wonder if it was the box caterpillar but there is no webbing, eggs or cocoons so that was ruled out.

Ill see if I can get a pic some how.

I had box blight on a small bush.(2ft ball)
Chopped out all the dead stuff and after 3 years it's back into shape, although is now smaller then it's friend which we bought at the same time.

IIRC you did an RHS course ? If that's right did it give you membership ? If so I belief as a member you can send them a sample for testing

Dont get me started! Some days I feel I'm the only interested in how plants work and things that affect them, others seem to be there just for a pay check, and if plants become ill then bin em. 😑

If these plants are diseased, its not right to sell them, or try to save them.
In this case, I think binning them is the proper thing to do.

Yeah I think that may be the case. Do you think it's blight?

I haven't the foggiest whether its box blight. Can't stand the smell of box so avoid it as much as possible
Do you think you can sell plants that are as badly damaged as they look in the photos - whatever the cause?
Could these plants have been scorched by the sun or by something sprayed on them? Just wondered seeing the new green shoots appearing.

Looks a bit different to mine.
Mine was very dead in one patch rather than spread out like that with live bits poking out.

Do you not have an experienced head gardener running the place?

We have another employee there who is an expert but she wasnt in at the time, they have been out in full sun. I hate throwing plants out but I told the boss that if it is going to spread to other surrounding stock then just cut your losses.. I think I'll have a word with the big boss when she gets back, she is cut throat and will just bin em! They are out of sight of customers atm so we can uphold rep but selling them on weakened is not right.
