  • When to bring in the chillis?

    Morning all!

My 3 lovely chillis are still growing well, but are currently outside in pots in the garden. The plan was always to bring them in when the weather started getting a bit colder....but now I'm having a wobble about when! Would it be better to just bring them in right now or would they benefit from staying outside a bit longer! They will be right next to a bright bifold door so will get a good amount of sun and heat if I bring them in!

There are loads of chillis still to ripen on all three plants so I'm keen to get as much from them as humanly possible as the last couple of years I've had no success with them at all!!

    Ta muchly!
If it ain't broke...fix it til it is!

Could you compromise with out during the day but in at night. Up until the last couple of days it has been plenty warm enough. I think if single figure temperatures are predicted I'd bring them in, but I'm certainly no expert.

I'd do the same as Wendy it would be a shame to lose your plants instead of playing it safe.
      Location....East Midlands.

Given your previous experiences and assuming they are outside in the open, might be best to bring in and put out during the day if weather good..
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
