I've also seen 'Taxi' on the American Johnny's Seeds website: Taxi
Looks like a good variety, said to be early, so could be well suited for our short summers. Would be interested to see how it compares to Tumbling Tom Yellow and similar.
Brace yourselves - I have some sad news
I have been unable to germinate
Snapper Packed 2004,
Taxi 1997,
Britain's Breakfast 2004
Zuckertraube (Sugar grape) 2004
I hate being defeated by a seed
On the bright side, I have a baby Vince and who knows what he will grow into. Just hope he doesn't look like Snadger
Snadger, how's Vince coming on?
I've found a photo of them
Tomato ~ Vince
Donated by John Yeoman; vigorous variety producing yellow, ribbed, plum-shaped tomatoes up to 8cm (3 in) in length. Perfect as a stuffing tomato, it very much resembles a pepper even when cut.
Glad you are having success with your plant.I haven't grown them yet but here's a little more about Vince A4A SEED SAVER GROUP 2015 | Seed Savers Circle towards the bottom of the list.
I've grown Taxi a few times and think they are a good bush variety, pretty early and set well outdoors. Flavour is not earth shattering but quite edible (bear in mind I'm not a big yellow tomato lover) and they do pump out the fruits.
