So I know that these are a brand name for the peppers and they come in a sweet syrup sauce which adds to the overall taste of the product....

Does anyone know what seed it is that they grow? Do I understand that it is young chillies picked early maybe? Does anybody know? I have a addiction to them and wondered if I would be able to grow some this year....

I had tried to keep it simple this year and so far have Sweet Minimix pepper, Hot chilli Shake and Hot Razzamatazz.....

            • Done more repotting. They were all different heights etc. Fingers cross 😄 they all get the same light now!! We shall see.
              The middle 2 are jalepnos.
Red cherry is to one on The right and frigs on the left.
I also have 2 pots of frigs on the kitchen window seal and landing.
Cayenne have germinated well 😀quicker than the above did and just about showing a bit.

Somehow pic of kitchen window seal will not upload camera shy😕

              • They look like

Biquinho Vermelho - mild , same teardrop shape
                or maybe
Santa Rosa Blanco - hot, same teardrop shape

I know what a nightmare it is to find trademarked peppers

I topped an Aji Omnicolor a couple of weeks ago above the 4th pair of true leaves. Sprouting from every node now and looks good so I topped the other two this week as well. I'll probably do the same with the other baccatums when they are big enough.

Not sure if I'm going to top any of the chinenses or just leave them to fork naturally. They don't look leggy.

                        • Personally I dont feed for the first month after sowing or potting on and then after that maybe a very week feed every 1 or 2 weeks

When they are still small I try and use an organic feed to guard against over feeding

I try and let the plants tell me, when the leaves go from a dark rich green to a normal green I give them a feed

                              • my overwintering chillies are spreading aphids to my new baby peppers!

                                Hi all,

I've got 5 sweet pepper varieties coming along well from seed I planted about a month ago under T5 lights- Antohi Romanian, Friggitello, Hungarian Hot Wax, Sweet Boneta, and Ingrid Pepper.

I planted 6 seeds of each and all sprouted well except the friggitello, which were a bit slow, and only 2 popped up.

I had a really good year with chillies last year- grew about 20 chilli plants - Scotch Bonnet, Trinity, Submarine, Apricot, Demon Red, Turtle Claw, Fruit Burst, Jamiacan Jerk), I thought I was too late sowing them in mid-March but they did well in the greenhouse and eventually came good (after I brought them in to the living room to finish ripening!) and now I too have a freezer full of chillies! The plants are surviving well on the windowsills, however they have a lot of aphids unfortunately, and they are now spreading onto my sweet pepper seedlings! I've been trying to pick them off but they keep coming back.

Does anyone have any tips on controlling the aphids? I didnt have any problems with aphids at all last year but i'm a bit worried that by keeping on last years plants I'm getting off to a bad start & spreading disease.

                                Sorry for the long post!

                                Cheers
