No doubt we'll have an Indian summer up here Jay! At least that's what I always tell myself in the depths of our dreary July/August drizzle.... September is usually half decent.

They're inside already Thelma...taking over my window ledges much to OH's slight annoyance! He does love having home grown so he'll just have to put up with it. Yes fingers crossed we get an Indian summer bario as this one has been rubbish so far.

My overwintered lemon drops and numex twilight are finally starting to ripen - not bad considering they've seen very little sun of late, bless them

Everything else is finally starting to catch up - there may be chillies yet!

Mine are all outside, but will all come in to our dilapidated conservatory once autumn is on its way

Anyone got any tips for getting rid of Aphids? I've tried picking them off and spraying them with washing up liquid/water mix but they just seem to multiply every day and i can't keep on top of them.

My Chenzo plant this week

This was the earliest variety for me this year. It's a nice compact plant, productive and only mild/medium heat. I'll try and save seeds from this plant and offer them as part of my Giveaway.

(Update: It looks like Chenzo is an F1, so will probably save and offer Pot Black seeds instead.)

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's an F1 hybrid, in which case it's unlikely to come true from seed.

Mine are back, too. My ladybirds seemed to have cleared them, I released most of the ladybirds outside, then the aphids started multiplying again. I think you can buy parasitic wasps but they're only really suitable for greenhouses.

My outside plants seem to be clear of aphids; there are lots of hoverflies around so I assume their larvae are responsible although I haven't seen any (don't even know what they look like.) I have got various things (caterpillars, spiders) that stick the leaves together, and other assorted pests.
