Has anyone tried and had success using foil or a reflective mulch?

The theory is good in poor light conditions I suppose. Cutting holes in a thermal foil blanket would do, but I've never tried it or seen it done.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

new to me also,wonders who is going to experiment,also sounds expensive,i would think the slugs ext would love it undernieth,another thing to concider is the watering,or have i got something wrong.sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

its a pain in the a to work with as it tears v easy if you using it out doors the wind will tear it to peices in front of your eyes and even if your using it in a growroom i doubt the benifits would out way the hassle when it comes to watering ,im not saying dont use it and it does depend on a few more details but if it way me i wouldnt bother ,cheersThe Dude abides.

They trialled it in Clumber Park glass house a couple of years back. The idea was reflected light confused pests that normally live on the underside of leaves. Don't know how well it worked but it wasn't on for very long. AFAIK it was another of James Wongks recommendations.Location ... Nottingham

I have never tried using foil, but have used black/white poly sheets, black side up to build up soil temperature then turn and white side up for growing, it was onions but I would think any veg would doit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
