    • Just some Radish seeds this afternoon, only grown for the pods because to me they tasted nicer than the radish roots.
      Location....East Midlands.

      • Having failed with most of my chillies in the winter, I'm planning on trying to grow some now with a view to over wintering them in the conservatory, is this also doomed to failure?

          • Yesterday 3 varieties of spring onion, Tom Thumb lettuce, hot'n'spicy leaf mix, Tuscany leaf mix, ice plant, Mizuna, radish & purslane.

                I'm trying the same with tomatoes.. I can't see any reason why it shouldn't. I will also try with chillies. Good luck!

                  • It's just rained/raining lightly here so I cleared a few little weeds & sowed more Marvel of Four Seasons Lettuce & Gustav's Salad lettuce in some gaps near tomatoes & beans.

                          • Just had my first lot of Kale and Broccoli germinate. have moved to bigger pots and some Kale has gone in the planter.
                            Also planted a winter variety lettuce which has yet to germinate.

                            • I'm now harvesting summer cabbage(Golden Acre Primo, I eat that like lettuce) and Romanesc Cauli so will soon have some room, thinking maybe sow a few winter cabbage that'll stand.
