This morning I've tidied my shed, put up cloche in the tunnel and done a bit more tidying in there. Ready for a mammoth seed sowing session when I get back from work this afternoon.
I'm so behind with everything thanks to chicken lock down and polytunnel building.
Hopefully be back later in the seed sowing thread with a long lists !
Got the seed box out and was ruthless in chucking out (wildly) out of date seed packets and packets of seeds that I will never ever grow.
This went very well until Polly and Sam came to have a look at what I was up to, and deciding that seed tapes are for carrying off for burial in a private place which I will not be able to find; and that rattly seed packets are great fun to bat about.
As the morning started sunny and bright, I cleared the back of the garden around the shed & mini grow house I use for hardening off of leafs and rubbish then went on to empty the large coldframe of all the plots trays and other stuff I will need shortly when seed sowing moves into full swing.
Photo is when I was building it.
So many slugs, snails, woodlice and spiders inside the frame and in between everything, I was at it all day and there is still a small pile of stuff in there that needs sorting.

Middle Daughter moving house today, so been volunteered for helping out with that, no gardening yet again, but my Blueberry bush I ordered turned up yesterday, in proper bud too, so if at least nothing else but I get this little lady potted on I'll be an "Happy Bunny"
Have fun!

Weeded round a blackberry, planted out some forget-me-nots, and dug over about 1m2 of ground before the heavens opened. Hope it's not set in for the day!
After struggling for a while I finally managed to unwrap the Blackberry Cascade I ordered a few months ago.
The thick brown envelope was 40in long x 14in wide (I measured it) and my poor little plant was potless and battered. Had a moan to Marshalls, who were brilliant and they are going to send another one out as I'm not sure my virtually rootless blackberry is going to survive.
Filled what pots I have - note to self NEVER let the OH throw things away willy nilly - so that the soil warms up so toms can be started.
Sticky taped Gordon the greenhouse he he did not like the wind last night.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Planted my swift first earlies through weed suppressant membrane and sowed some more sweet peppers and marigolds. Potted on some chillis. Half heartedly weeded the asparagus bed...

1574 gin and tonics please Monica, large ones.
Kelvedon Wonder peas are now in their final beds, and Wando pea seeds are now planted into the vacated gutters. Bit windy up at our allotment so not much else was done.
I`m a few years off retirement, but I wish I had the time the other retired allotmenteers have, or at least take a month off work and just spend all my time up there, it would be bliss.

Got to play with the new rotorvator today, turned over the bit thats been covered up since last april! Covered it in manure (I do not recommend verve farmyard manure, it proper stinks!) and then rotovatored it again. I can now consider where the paths and edging on that side are going to go.
Planted a patio pear tree in the ground, its starting to bud, so I hope it wasnt too late. Still got two apple trees to put in, but I cant decide where I want those. Put in 15 shallots that have been sat in the shed for weeks, and raked over & weeded the raised beds. Also seemed to manage to get in a bit of a chat with several plot holders, in fact I think I did more chatting than working!
Ive also decided that the greenhouse needs some sealant, it seems very draughty in there, dont think my seeds will sprout (luckily Ive not put much in yet)
