Today I harvested - 2017
Cabbage, Cauliflower, Courgettes, Dwarf Runner Beans, Dwarf Haricot Beans, Tumbler Tomatoes and Indoor Grown Mushrooms.
I also harvested Field Mushrooms from a corner of our local football pitch and Blackberries from a local hedge. Well I had to do something whilst the dog was having a run.
I Know. The Field Mushrooms and the Blackberries where cheating but who cares!!
Best regards,
Greg

1 beetroot (700g) green beans (200g), green peppers (2)
and peas 400+.
Well, I harvested the peas about 5 days ago for seeds for next year. I always leave some pods on the best looking plants carrying the best looking pods. I plant a 30 foot row at 12 peas to the foot so need about 400 peas. These do produce about 1lb per foot including pods and this year 42% of that weight was podded peas about 12lb.
I have to keep an eye on the pods while they are drying/maturing on the plants as mice can strike at any time and decide they are good to eat. When I saw a few pods had been ripped open, I decided they were good enough to harvest. I've podded about 1/2 these with enough still drying in the pods maybe for the following year. Below are the peas before picking, the pods drying and after podding. I leave the margarine tub open in the conservatory till they are hard just stirring occasionally. There are usually quite a lot of peas ruined by pea moth larvae but usually get an average of at least 6 good peas when there are 9 in a pod. I used to sow successionally but found that later sowing were too infested by pea moths to be worth it where I live so now I just do one sowing of hurst greenshaft (probably). most pickings are grub free till the last ones (and the pods left for next years seed).
