  • Just sitting down with a cup of tea after bringing in the onion crop to dry. 28kg onions 5kg shallots. Just remembered I saw a couple of strawberries so going to get them while the tea brews.

    • 63 nice red onions brought in to dry. That's the second good year in a row since I started to grow Marshalls Red Fen, lets hope it continues.

        • The first of my Egyptian Beetroot, mixed lettuce, Basil, Black cherry toms, Nasturtium flowers, Burpless Tasty cuc, Purple podded peas and some windfall Worcester Pearmain apples that I'm using for chutney.

                      • First sweet pepper. Peculiarly, all the ones on this plant start off almost black, and gradually evolve to dark purple. Will find out what they taste like at lunchtime tomorrow

                              What variety are they? I've got some sweet pepper mavras that are dark black looking purple & they ripen to dark black looking red,I thought there was something wrong with them looking black for ages,haven't grown this variety before but they look nice & full shaped
