Picked loads of tomatoes today. Lots of chillis as well.
Decided to dig up all my potatoes together as it looked like blight weather.
Lots of big ones with the biggest one weighing just under 3 lbs.
A tray of pears, the last nectarine, a couple of flat peaches, Joan J raspberries, a bucket of apples (given to a neighbour), CFBs, a couple of runner beans from the 3 year old plants, 2 courgettes, tomatoes..........
I'm sitting here surrounded by F&V and wondering what to do with it all
Feeling overwhelmed
Courgettes, beans, 2 baking trays full of blackberries, calabrese and some peas.
Gave away courgettes and beans to new neighbours -one advantage of a housing estate being built over the road is that no-one who moved in less than 3 months ago will have an established veg patch yet!
Charlotte potatoes, mixed toms, lettuce, basil, chives, cucs, beets, nasturtium flowers and pods all for a salad then apples, blackberries, and raspberries.
Loving this time of year. At least once a week I need the wheel barrow to bring back produce.
Today's haul included peas, dwarf French and runner beans, carrots, potatoes, chard, spinach, sweet cabbage, cauliflower, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, sweetcorn, plums, pears, parsnips, peppers, chillies and raspberries.
Major operation to prep and store lots of the veg before going back for more in a couple of days.
I did prod about with 's hoe but the no dig beds area blessing in thus regard. I planted some clover as green manure where we took out some pea's so that will be something new.
