How do garden centers get 8 inch tall plants to have full size fruit? One near me had a full size, ripe pepper on a plant that was about the same size?

Probably because they would still be in small pots which would restrict growth, but given regular feed, at a guess. Plenty of light early on would also keep the plants shorter.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy

There are many dwarf varieties around combined with professional techniques gives you an 8in pepper with fruit.
Varieties like redskin and mohawk - I tried Mohawk myself a couple of years back but did not have good results I think I gave them to much space.Last edited by TrysHard; 06-01-2017, 09:37 AM.
