  • Can you identify these tomatoes from the description?

    A large ribbed very pale pink tomato with bright red seeds bought at borough market

    A slightly flattened round dark red tomato with a thick skin and excellent storage. Bought in lidl or aldi in france

    A very pale yellow almost translucent plum cherry tomato from the fun tomato packs in lidl

    Yes, im obsessed with tomatoes

      I'm with VC but the tomato with red seeds sounds interesting.

      I'm also obsessed with tomatoes....my OH and kids call me the Tomato Lady

        I meant to take a pic but before i knew it I'd eaten it. It was a shock the colour of the seed gel. Also this on had thin flesh and space between the flesh and seeds. I keot sone seeds, I'll see what grows

            This is the dark red storage tomato. When i bought them they were much darker, almost burgundy

                  Many commercial tomatoes have thick skins so that they can be packed and transported without damage. Maybe that helps them to last longer too.
                  Next time you buy some, look at the packaging as the variety name is usually given.

                          I asked why you called them "storage tomatoes" because certain varieties are known by that name - for example De Colgar which is sold by Realseeds Vegetable Seeds : Vine Tomato Seed, Large
