Blight free Charlotte ?

just noticed it said "resistent" has it always been so ?

The potato database Varieties
says

Susceptible to late blight on foliage, potato cyst nematode Globodera rostochiensis and Globodera pallida . Tests show resistance to Blackleg.

So I wouldn't believe the packet!

Charlottes on our site site were hit by blight last year but I don't know if it was late early blight or early late blight..

My spud guidebook says very good resistance to foliage and tuber blight. Also can plant in August for a Christmas crop...so that could affect the rating. However there are lots of other varieties that get a much better rating against scab and blight.

I don't plant my Charlottes until end May/early June-and they always get blight...presumably the late blight.
Fortunately they are always big enough to dig up at first signs....

Yes, agree with all the above.
I also planted some late last season and they got smashed with blight so was suprised to see that on the packet. I know it just says resistant but mine gave up in a second lol, didnt seem to offer much resistance at all.

We're still eating our stored ones even though they had signs of blight.....

My Christmas Charlottes were destroyed by blight last year, while the nearby Sungold tomatoes lasted another month, so I wouldn't bank on them surviving if blight is usually a problem where you are.
