Mycorrhizal fungi

Could anyone tell me how long you can keep mycorrhizal fungi for, also I have been told you don't use it on brassica plants, is it worth while using it with tomatoes in Brown age and can it be used with onions, carrots, beetroot etc.

I to have heard it's not to be used on brassicas, why I don't know. But when I last used it for roses I am sure brassicas were excluded.

I have just checked the RHS website they to say it is not for use on brassicas.

It's not that you can't, just that there's no point, as brassicas don't associate with the fungi

As far as I know brassicas don't make an association with fungi but I wonder also if it's because fungus leans towards acid pH whereas bacteria leans towards alkaline.

From my limited experience, brassicas don't form a mycorrhizal relationship, whereas 95% of plants in the world do

Another good reason to use green manures on ground that is not in production. No plants means nothing for the mycorrhizal fungi to live on, so the amount of fungi in the soil declines.
