Garlic yellowing

I have had 100% success from two garlic bulbs - every clove has shooted and is growing away nicely. But the green shoots (about 5" now) are turning a little yellow just on the tips.

It's been quite a few years since I've grown garlic and I can't recall if this is normal or a cry out for food.

Oddly, I thought this was a friendly, helpful gardening forum - one which would respond with either 'try feeding with this' or 'no idea'. So, yes - any response would have been welcome

Not sure to be honest which is why I didn't reply when I looked

I know they're quite hungry though.... I've mixed in rotted manure with mine this year, & I always put lots of homemade compost in.

Hopefully a garlic expert will come along. The only thing I can think of that causes yellowing is rust, but I think it's the wrong time of year & it tends to be blotches of yellow rusty looking stuff all over the leaves.

I have garlic growing both indoors and outdoors in pots Mine is slightly further on than yours pixie being 9 inches high, but seems to have stopped growing. The outer leaves tips are yellow but I'm putting that down to the natural aging process and the outer leaves being replacd by new growth?

I may give them a 'Kick up the backside' by applying a nitro fertiliser and see if that does owt.

Morning, I think it's probably normal too, the garlic farm recommends feeding with sulphate of potash in February so maybe they just need a little boost as Snadge suggests?
