Has anyone grown these please,if so,are they all that is said about them,as am pondering if they might be better than other paste tomatoes, just do not want to waste money.
thanks all
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
If memory serves me well, they were fair croppers and good for sauce (not so good for salad use) and the foliage is very wispy, making you think it's diseased when it's not. Water regularly to avoid BER.
LD, I have some JD seeds and some of those BM seeds. In fact I have lots of Black Icicle shaped seeds to play with this year.
I'll put some in the post to you - and for you Scarlet as promised
I bought mine from Nicky's. There are only 10 seeds in a packet so not enough to share any further - sorry. Maybe I'll be able to save some seeds to share
20 seeds in the pack from Plants of Distinction if anyone's looking, but might also depend on postage and what else you want from the company at the same time to make the order worthwhile.
Unfortunately my VSP 'Jersey Devils' from 2016 turned out not to be Jersey Devils Otherwise I would have had plenty of seeds saved that I would have been able to share here.
They turned out to be a very good but unknown medium-sized red cherry tomato instead. I've saved seeds and named them 'NJD Red Cherry' for that reason
