I'd be very happy with a pot full like that too.
I've just eaten a bucket full - they were about the size of broad beans
Didn't have a placky bag in the bucket so I couldn't put them back for another month or two!
Hi all! Been reading past posts on mfbs and growing pots in said buckets. Went to Morriston and bought two (8 for 99p) sets when I got home found that only the outside buckets were black and all the others are semi transparent white ones (I was in a rush!). Question: can I still use them for pots? Or will they go green?? Also as I am overwintering the pots will they be on in unheated greenhouse/outside?
Thank you all in advance!
I bought some of those white ones recently - I'm going to try using them as cloches over individual plants in spring. May also try some for carrots as I may be able to see the size of the roots on the outside before pulling them!
Cloches, what a food idea! Won't you have the same problem with carrots as I am worried about with potatoes.... ie.. Going green? When my carrots push their way out of the ground the sun turns their shoulders green.??
