I have some planted in a tub in the conservatory, can I put them outside yet? They are about 3 ft tall.

You'll need to harden them off as they started inside. I planted mine in a bath outdoors (not showing yet though).
I think that they're usually just left in the ground to regrow as they're hardy so should be fine when they get used to it.
How big is the tub? JAs can get to 12 foot tall so is it weighty enough not to topple over?

I've also got some in a couple of grow buckets which I'll probably have to prune back to 5 or 6 feet once they get too big so that they don't catch the wind

You may set them back a few weeks, but kill them, never.Feed the soil, not the plants.

I planted some tubers years ago on my plot and they come back every year without giving them any care or attention at all. Pretty much one of the easiest things to grow, whether you want them or not!Adventures in growing exciting and unusual edibles! https://modernvegplot.com/

Well the ones in the bath have 5 little shoots poking up and one of the buckets has 1.
So far I haven't killed them off.
