  • Do you have an Allpotment?

Allpotment - its not a typo - its my silly name for a cluster of veggies in pots

Here's mine - tucked away at the end of the patio - behind a baby gate to stop the dogs from "watering" them.

From the left, carrots, saffron, a dumped shopping trolley with salad leaves, spring onions, potatoes under straw, onion sets.

Care to show us your 'Potment?

Love the shopping trolley VC. Brilliant raised bed that's easy to move, just genius.

I've got mint, carrots, spuds ( in bags ), spring onions and their will be a pumpkin (hopefully). But they're in different places around the garden.

Sorry about all the pics but I only have the laptop to take them with and I am shoddy with it at best.

Don't ask silly questions VC - of course I have!

The sun is very bright at the moment which means that most of the pots are unhelpfully in dark shadows. I'll take some photos later if things improve.

VC hope you don't mind me asking, why do you have poly bags in the pots with the straw
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Rary, the theory is that you can lift the bags out of the buckets and see how your spuds are doing - and harvest a couple of spuds and put the bag back!
Never tried it before so don't know whether it works yet!
                Saw it on UTube.

Thanks VC, but I don't think I will try that, poly bags cost 5p now a days

I love this - I finally feel like I can be involved as an allpotmenteer

I had lots, which have currently been emptied, but they will be back and I will post photos. Have no fear, pots will be here

I had a count of the pots, 9 x 40/50ltr tubs of tatties, 3 x carrots, 3 x apples, 3 x blueberries, 5 x goosegogs and 2 x honeyberry, 2 x nectarine, 1 x peach, 1 x apricot, and all the rest of fruit trees,7, and veg are in the ground or raised beds. if we didn't live in Scotland we would have a lot of watering to do, as it is we just have to wait for a few hours and it will rain..
