Topped up the nettle bag in my plant feed ( tea ) yesterday, I think it's getting there. It's a nice dark green colour and stinks. The dog likes it , kept licking the juices that ran out the bottom of the nettle bag!!! .............disgusting!

It's got a couple more weeks to mature before I need to start using it.
It's like a grown up version of making mud pies when you were a kid, all quiet unpleasant but very satisfying

You could try the comfrey concentrate which doesn't stink half as much (when the lids on ) Just bury the end gunk in the compost bin with some shredded newspaper

Use the pipe and a solar powered oxygenator in the water butt where you keep the comfrey tea on draft and the stench is so minimal unless you take the lid off the water butt and stick your nose near it you don't smell it.

I make nettle tea, and comfry tea. I also recycle my own tea through my bladder too and all of these are diluted to make feed and fertiliser.
I'm about to start my first decent sized batch of EM1 effective microorganisms so I can feed the soil and spray the emerging plants with it. Had the molases and cane sugar ready since last Autumn.
I'm going to try the whole season as organic, hopefully the blights and cankers will leave me alone!
Teas are made with chopped greenery into a bucket/tub cover with water and weigh down with a stone or brick. Cover (it smells) wait 2-3 weeks and filter off the liquid, dilute and feed to the plants.

High in nitrogen and sterile when fresh. Add it to the compost pile or dilute it and use it as a nitrogen feed.

Don't use if you are on antibiotics or have a UI

I tend to use the Liquid Gold diluted on the compost heap as an activator along with comfrey chopped up.

                  ^^^^^^

Often used in the watering can by me as we have no toilets at the allotments, or is a good compost activator.

Used in tanning leather. When i worked for british Steel it used to be the norm to stick pee soaked newspapers in new work boots to soften the leather

I twas also used for hammer blisters on the hands, although this isn't recommended unless you hve a high pain thresh hold.

                        It's been used in
                        1. baiting leather
                        2. Fulling wool fabrics (especially tweed, much loved by Lords and Gentlemen around the country)
                        3. Gasmasks to counteract chlorine gas
                        4. Manufacturing gunpowder
                        5. Bleaching agent for laundries
                        6. Teeth Whitener
                        7. Mordant in dyeing

It has a high ammonia content which is why it is useful in the garden as a fertiliser as well as a number of industrial procedures.

I always take the potty onto the plot if the boys are with me. They love to make contributions to the compost dalek!

I first saw a comfrey pipe when I was in school and coveted them then. I could technically put one on the post for my strawberry rack... hmmm....
