So - I like square pots for seedlings - they fit into trays (tidy like) and there's none of this wasted space that you get when you put round pots together - must be about 20% wasted space in a standard rectangular seed tray. I can see the point in a nice round pot for a big plant like a gage tree or a medlar perhaps - but why in the name of all that is decent (apart from getting them for free or dirt cheap) would anyone pick a small round pot over a square one. It makes no sense! Even the roots of a seedling prefer square pots.
