So I want to build a Brassica Cage. I say the same every year but this year I need some need and have come to the decision of Debris Netting. How I just can't decide on the colour, as would black not be as good as green or would white be better?
Blue.....................is the colour for 2017! I fancy some red though now

Gord I want to cover the Brassicas not create blackpool illuminations :P
My thinking is that will any of the colours block or let more light in than others? e.g like the spectrum of colours with polythene?

Blue for debris netting, but I'm getting red and white mosquito netting for the fruit trees.
Red and white mosquito netting (mackem colours) may not be liked on our site. Does mosquito netting burn!

I believe it won't make much difference, if any. The netting strands are basically opaque, so the light that actually gets through is unimpeded except for maybe a small amount of reflection off the netting strands on the way through.
To put it another way, colours look normal under my green netting, just slightly shaded.
But someone will be along in a minute to tell me I'm wrong...

There is a thread from last year with links to research on coloured netting - can't find it at the moment
