Help With Which Cabbage To Plant

I have recently returned to vegetable growing and would like to know what cabbage plant varieties I could plant now which I could harvest later this year. I do like pointed cabbage. Would that be suitable?

Are you going to buy plugs to plant, or need recommendations for varieties to sow now?

You can often get plug plants of Hispi and Greyhound (both pointed cabbages) or you can sow both now if you are starting from seeds.

Cabbage "Duncan" is a very versatile pointed variety which from an early undercover sowing in Feb you can be harvesting in July and when sowing again in Oct gives lovely spring greens, so I find it a good alrounder and grow it most years!

Isn't Golden Acre is summer white cabbage?(at least I hope it is or won't be getting any coleslaw this bar b que season)
