  • Happy growing.

Hope we all have a great growing season. The heavy rain brought me down a bit today but it's needed.

We could certainly do with a bit of rain here in Northumberland The ground is rock hard on the allotment......very frustrating when I want to get a pond dug!

Strange here in Lyme as well. No rain in April until the second to last day and a very late frost a 1 in 10 years event on the 27th/28th.

The ground was completely baked, however it's rained a hell of a lot in May including the past 3 days almost continually.

Perfect timing for my first early spuds and broad beans though. Hoping for bumper crops now even though the spuds got frost damaged.

We've had a bit of a "Deluge" this last couple of days, and not before time too!

Got a couple of gardening jobs on the go, and a lawn I need to get ready for a mid-summer garden party for a combined 18th and 21st Buddies Daughters Birthdays which I ripped apart with the scarifier and airiater a few weeks back, today showing really good signs of recovery!

So yeah! The growing season seems to have begun!

            Have fun everyone!
