          Two varieties have been broken through the soil since yesterday or perhaps a day earlier. Today would make 2 weeks since I planted them. I may not have planted them as deeply as I thought. I still have soil to mound up around the plants later.

          First time with potatoes and I'm pretty sure I planted 4 or 5 times as many as I should have but I have people I can give some to.

          I think out of these varieties I'll pick just one for next year; German Butterball, Yukon Gold, and All Blue. My son and grandson really liked the German Butterball potatoes that my son planted last year. I thought they were good too.
