  • New seasonal edible house plant

This is just an experiment,so far so good,it'e in a pot with a wheeled water tray, cucumber Femspot,it is being trained via an unused clothes rail,it is fed and watered only from the bottom, like MR said, they growing as you look at them, hope they taste well,am now thinking about trying a tomato plant on tother side, see what room there is,MR is so supportive of my ideas,it also gives him a focus on garden plant life

    Great idea, Lottie

I won't try one as I got nagged incessantly about all the windowsill plants - so imagine the fuss over a cucumber!!! Love the idea though and go for the tomato plant too, why not!
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

That's great LD. Femspot is a really nice variety. I'm growing it again this year.

That'll look lovely! The leaves & cucumbers grow perfectly with no bugs/weather affecting them, they're nice to have in the house to look at when you're not outside

                What a whopper, LD
You need a tomato on the other side and a pot of lettuce and you can pick a salad

Good idea VC,a new meaning to the salad bar, pots with radish and onions in,but it will take all the light from the room hehe.

It's looking very healthy and vigorous. Won't be long before you can't see out the window!
