Globe Artichokes

Anyone here successfully moved globe artichokes? I inherited a plant (it now looks like 3 plants) on my new plot and would like to move it. The spead of the 3 plants together is well over 2 metres, but ive no idea of age

It would be better to wait 'til autumn if you can, it sounds as if you could divide it then as well.
If you have to move it now, then leave it as it is, to avoid too much of a shock. It will need a lot of watering to keep it live though.

I was planning on moving it in autumn, i was just wondering how hard it is, how deep you have to dig etc etc

I moved mine last autumn. Had to go quite deep, & it divided itself. Took a lot of water initially but now quite happy in new home, taller than me, & I have three instead of one.
