Thank you for the info. This retirement malarkey is hard work. I think I’ll re-join the Fire Service. It was easier than vegetable growing!!! At least I could walk around the station all day with a clipboard, a blank piece of paper and a pen. If I was ever stopped by an officer and asked what I was doing I’d say that I was conducting an inventory. They would normally say “okay Fireman, carry on”. They never even asked what the inventory was for. Amazing what you can get away with. Of course I am only joking!

My boss was like that but the bit of paper on the clip board had been there that long it was starting to go brown round the edges!

I had a job once that involved wandering the streets with a clipboard, looking at plans and photos of buildings.
It amazed me how many people would approach me and ask if I wanted to ask them some questions! Maybe they thought I had free samples?
I always avoid people with clipboards as a matter of principle.................though if I saw you in your garden, Artisan, I wouldn't ignore you - just laugh!
